Took us most of the day to pick up car at airport, figure out navigation system and drive to Toledo from Madrid. But we're here to enjoy plus relax so just took today to do a reconnoitre. We found a cafe around the corner from our hotel for a late lunch (just like the Spanish) then drove to the old town of Toledo being careful to follow the major roads to avoid the skinny little streets of this medieval gem.
Dropped into TI for happy game of charades with Spanish-only employees and found where to go to buy bus tickets (cars just don't work here) before wandering a few streets to get a flavour of we have in store.
Back to hotel to sort out our bags, papers, etc then have a bath(!!!).
