We are mid-day on a transition from Barcelona to Madrid where we stay overnight and pick up a car. This morning we checked off a few last things on our list. Went straight to Sagrada Familia (Holy Family Church) and did an external circuit of the incredibly strange edifice. No time to see the interior which we know would have been amazing and colourful.
We then walked 11 blocks to Gaudi's La Pedrera. So that's three buildings: his first Modernista (Palau Guell), his best (La Pedrera) and his last (Sagrada Familia). Pictures to come.
Then, thanks to the wonders of the metro, we dropped down into a neighbouring metro station and took a quick trip to the waterfront. We hadn't really taken time two days ago. Again, more pictures to come.
Now we are off to the Sants Estacio to catch our train to Madrid. It is a 2 1/2 ride. We know the routine at the other end - metro to airport, hotel bus to our beds! In the morning, we pick up car and head to Toledo where we are staying for three nights.
(Ask Pat to translate!) Es maravilloso su viaje.
ReplyDelete¡Gracias por los consejos! Pat ya me tiene haciendo traducciones. ¡Pero deberías escucharnos en la vida real! Principalmente gestos con las manos salvajes ...
