Finally. A heavenly meal

We discovered this little gem of a restaurant while wandering the village earlier today. Turns out it is run by a family who has been in the village for generations. Formerly fishers, three generations now cook and serve traditional Portuguese food. We put our order in this morning so the food could be bought from local fishers. The Mum talked to us this morning, suggesting what would be good with the fresh seafood. She strongly recommended the chicken. The aunties cooked the meal, one nephew was our enthusiastic server, another stayed to present the bill. In the meantime, locals sat around tables talking loudly, joking and watching the football, and, finally laughing at us when, at the end of the brilliant meal, we were presented with tiny glasses of aquardente (later translated as firewater).
The restaurant is named Finalment (Finally)

Meal served with rice and chips (chips seem to accompany every meal no matter what you order)

Cataplanya The name comes from a sealed clam-shell dish used to cook the seafood in.
