Arcos de La Frontera at last!

We made it. But getting to the outskirts is only the start of the challenge. Bill organized the hotel on the phone with a hotel operator who spoke very little English. So Bill's idea of the address and honey's great data base in the sky didn't see eye to eye! Here we go again. You have to see Bill in action to appreciate his resourcefulness. He stopped and spoke to a non-English-speaking group of 20-something guys. With his few words of Spanish and their enthusiasm, he managed to get that we have to take the third turn on the distant round-about and go way down the hill and we'd find it. Well that actually got us mostly there. Google did finally decide to help and we found our street. It was about 10 feet wide. Traffic one way, cars parked on one side with side mirrors in. The flag on his phone said 90 m to go and Bill decided to grab a parking space and walk. It was a good decision. There were no more spaces. We are in a three-story walk-up at the foot of the main street in Arcos. We huffed up the stairs (and I wasn't carrying luggage) and came out on our deck to behold the beauty of this pueblo blanco. Our room is wonderful - charming and comfortable and we are here for two nights.
One way streets only in Arcos

Sun is setting. Time for dinner.

The main street at night. It was quiet when we set out at 7:00 and full of people when we headed back down at 9:00
